The 7-night Red Sea liveaboard diving holiday from Hurghada puts you on a dedicated dive boat for a week, sailing from Hurghada Marina to the best Red Sea dive sites and returning to the marina at the end of the cruise. Instead of travelling to reefs each morning, you sleep above them, so you can dive as much as the day allows at wrecks, pinnacles and national-park reefs that day boats rarely reach.
This guided Red Sea liveaboard suits certified divers who want to maximise time underwater. Professional dive guides lead each dive, meals are served on board, and the final sites depend on weather and currents, as on every liveaboard. We arrange your marina transfers and help you choose the right boat and cabin for your dates and budget

Dive Sites and Their History
This Red Sea diving itinerary visits some of the most famous dive sites in the world. Here is the story behind each.
Shaab Abu Nuhas
Abu Nuhas is a reef at the entrance to the Gulf of Suez where ships have repeatedly run aground. The wrecks include the steamer Carnatic, lost in 1869, and the cargo ships Giannis D, Chrisoula K and Kimon M, all lying within a short distance. Together they make the best wreck-diving area in the northern Red Sea.
SS Thistlegorm
The Thistlegorm was a British armed merchant ship carrying supplies for Allied forces in North Africa, including trucks, motorcycles, locomotives and ammunition. She was sunk by German aircraft in October 1941 and lies at about 30 metres. Jacques Cousteau located the wreck in the 1950s, and it became a world-famous dive in the 1990s.
Ras Mohammed National Park
Established in 1983, Ras Mohammed at the tip of the Sinai was Egypt's first national park. Its walls drop sharply into deep water and its reefs host big schools of fish. Park rules protect the reef, and boats must follow set mooring and entry regulations.
Shark and Yolanda Reefs
Shark Reef is known for strong currents and open-water fish, while Yolanda Reef is famous for the cargo of a wrecked ship that spilled bathroom fixtures across the seabed, creating an unusual underwater scene.
Straits of Tiran
The narrow channel between the Sinai and Tiran Island holds four reefs called Jackson, Woodhouse, Thomas and Gordon. Currents bring plankton and fish, producing colourful coral gardens and good drift diving, and conditions require good buoyancy control.
Other northern reefs
Depending on the route, the boat may also visit sites such as Carless Reef, the Dunraven wreck, a British steamer lost in 1876, or reefs around the Giftun Islands near Hurghada.

Best Time to Dive and What to Pack
The best time for a Red Sea liveaboard is March to June and September to November, when the weather is mild and seas are calmer. Summer is warm, with water near 28 degrees, while winter water drops to around 21 to 23 degrees, so a thicker wetsuit helps. Pack your certification card and logbook, a surface marker buoy, a dive computer, a warm layer for the deck, reef-safe sunscreen, a dry bag and seasickness remedies if needed.
