The 6-day Nuweiba, Colored Canyon and Dahab holiday follows the Gulf of Aqaba coast of the Sinai, where Bedouin beaches, narrow sandstone canyons and relaxed dive towns sit between the mountains and the sea. Starting and ending in Sharm El Sheikh, the route runs Sharm El Sheikh → Nuweiba → Colored Canyon → Dahab → Sharm El Sheikh.
This private Sinai tour from Sharm El Sheikh is built for travellers who want a quieter, more natural side of the peninsula. A private guide explains the landscape and culture, a private vehicle handles the coast road, and the plan can be adjusted to your dates and interests before booking.
Tour Overview
Where the resort strip of Sharm El Sheikh ends, the eastern Sinai coast becomes a string of small bays, palm oases and Bedouin settlements. This Nuweiba and Dahab tour takes you to the northern part of that coast, adds a half-day walk through the Colored Canyon and finishes in Dahab, one of the best-known laid-back beach towns on the Red Sea.

Places You Will Visit and Their Story
This Colored Canyon and Dahab tour shows the quiet side of the Sinai coast. Here is the background to each stop.
Sharm El Sheikh
Sharm El Sheikh started as a Bedouin and fishing settlement at the tip of the Sinai and became a major Red Sea resort. It is the gateway to Ras Mohammed National Park and the coral reefs of the Gulf of Aqaba.
Nuweiba
Nuweiba is a coastal oasis town on the Gulf of Aqaba, with a port that links Egypt to Aqaba in Jordan. The area is home to the Muzeina Bedouin, whose tribe gave the town its second name. Long, quiet beaches, palm groves and simple camps make it a favourite with travellers seeking peace.
Tarabin and Bedouin Culture
The Tarabin are one of the main Bedouin tribes of the Sinai. In Nuweiba, families run small camps with palm-leaf huts on the beach, serve tea and traditional dishes and share stories of life in the desert.
Colored Canyon
The Colored Canyon lies between Nuweiba and Dahab. Wind and occasional flash floods have carved narrow passages through sandstone, whose walls show bands of red, orange, yellow, violet and brown from mineral oxides in the rock. In places it narrows to little more than a metre.
Dahab
Dahab, meaning gold in Arabic, grew from a Bedouin fishing village into a relaxed beach town known for windsurfing, kitesurfing, diving and freediving. Its promenade has cafés and shops, and the surrounding mountains drop steeply to the sea.
Blue Hole and the Bells
The Blue Hole is a deep sinkhole in the reef north of Dahab. This tour includes snorkelling only in the shallow reef areas and at the nearby Bells, and deep diving there should never be attempted without proper training.
Ras Abu Galum
North of Dahab, the Ras Abu Galum Protectorate is a roadless coastal reserve reached on foot, by camel or by boat. Established in 1992, it protects reefs, mangroves and Bedouin hamlets, and is available as an optional extra on request.
